Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to support a complex Information Assurance program in Maryland. You will champion security requirements, lead risk analyses, and ensure compliance across development, integration, and testing of mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• 7 years of Systems Engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; five extra years can substitute for the degree.
• Strong background in Information Assurance and/or cryptographic systems.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading small technical teams and collaborating across teams.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate systems engineering docs: SEPs, ICDs, Requirements Specifications, and security docs.
• Provide technical leadership across system development, integration, testing.
• Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, and functional allocation.
• Conduct system requirements reviews and assess technical and non-technical aspects.
• Support planning and test analysis for DoD C&A processes.
• Perform high-assurance cybersecurity evaluation for devices undergoing certification.
• Review security artifacts for compliance and document deficiencies with recommendations.
• Translate vulnerability insights into practical risk mitigation guidance.
• Recommend improvements to requirements, processes, and templates.
• Collaborate across teams and participate in security-focused reviews.
