Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Principal Engineering Project Manager to lead data-center related projects across the United States, overseeing engineers, designers, and subcontractors to deliver quality outcomes. You will develop proposals, manage schedules, costs, and risks, and maintain strong client relationships.

This role requires extensive experience in engineering consulting for data centers, PMP certification preferred, and willingness to travel up to 15% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or PMP Certification with 10 years of engineering consulting/project management experience in data centers.
• Minimum 6 years as a project manager or engineer in data-center projects within an engineering consulting firm.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience with hyperscale data centers as a consultant is required.
• Strong cost/workhour estimating, proposal development, and review skills.
• Ability to manage scope, schedule, and cost across multiple concurrent projects.
• Knowledge of earned value management and progress reporting.
• Experience with contract language and NDAs.
• Ability to travel 10–15% and work across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects and manage schedules, risks, and finances.
• Develop detailed proposals with technical teams.
• Oversee engineers, designers and subcontractors for quality deliverables.
• Drive client satisfaction through effective communication.
• Create work plans, WBS, and risk management strategies.
• Utilize MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint to track progress.
• Travel to client facilities as needed.
