Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States seeks a senior leader to drive the technical development of maritime products from concept to delivery. You will work with Anduril’s Strategy team and strategic opportunity customers to ensure requirements are tied to inputs and traceable to program office decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Systems Engineering, Marine Engineering, or equivalent, or proven experience in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 15 years experience with technical leadership and systems engineering on defense systems or weapon programs.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Travel 25% to Customer and Test Sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the initial design, prototyping, capability verification, and delivery of a maritime autonomous weapon system.
• Manage the initial design of the system and subsystems including system architecture development, requirements definition, system and sub-system trades and optimization, risk management etc. to shape the product.
• Perform systems engineering and trade analyses to enable exploration and rapid iteration of early conceptual designs.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure design for manufacturing is embedded in early concepts.
• Work with senior leadership to ensure resource plans are adequate for work scope.
• Oversee technical execution of the generation of a new surface product for Anduril Maritime.
• Define key capabilities, milestones, and demonstrations for continuous development.
