Job summary

Pickett, an ESP Associates company, is seeking a Lead Engineer in Dallas, TX, to provide senior engineering leadership on HV/EHV overhead transmission projects. The role calls for hands-on design oversight, mentoring staff, and ensuring client requirements, quality, and schedules are met.

You will guide line routing, surveying, PLS-CADD modeling, and construction support while coordinating with stakeholders to deliver safe, reliable utility solutions.

Qualifications

PE certification required.
10+ years of transmission line engineering experience in electric utilities.
Extensive experience with PLS-CADD.
PLS-TOWER experience preferred.
Knowledge of NESC, IEEE, ASCE and ACI codes.
Strong project management and leadership abilities.
Ability to lead and mentor teams.

Responsibilities

Supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and drafters.
Communicate clear expectations, goals, and vision.
Manage project work and delegate tasks.
Mentor and coach team members.
Ensure on-time delivery and quality of work.
Review and approve engineering design submittals.
Develop lasting client relationships.
Estimate projects and develop proposals.
