Job summary

Pickett and Associates, LLC, an ESP Company, seeks a Lead Engineer to guide HV/EHV transmission projects. You will lead a team, ensure design quality and schedule, and provide senior engineering expertise on complex routes, foundations, and construction support.

The role requires PE certification, extensive PLS-CADD experience, and strong leadership with client coordination abilities.

Qualifications

• PE certification is required.
• 10+ years of transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry.
• Extensive experience using PLS-CADD.
• Experience with design codes/standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE, ACI.
• Strong project management and safety focus.
• Self-starter with leadership and communication skills.
• Able to pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineers, technicians, and drafters; set goals and vision.
• Manage performance and delegate project work; deliver on time.
• Coach and mentor team members; promote engagement.
• Review engineering design submittals and client relationships.
• Estimate projects and develop proposals; oversee QA/QC.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across subs, environment, real estate, and construction.
