Job summary

Pickett,an ESP Associates company, is seeking a Lead Engineer to provide leadership and senior technical expertise on complex HV/EHV transmission design projects. You will guide line routing, PLS-CADD modeling, structure and foundation design, and coordination with stakeholders to meet client requirements.

The role demands hands-on management, a PE license, 10+ years of experience in electric utility transmission, strong communication, and the ability to deliver quality work on schedule.

Qualifications

• PE certification is required.
• 10+ years of transmission line engineering experience in electric utility industry.
• Extensive experience using PLS-CADD.
• Experience with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE and ACI.
• Experience liaising with substation, environmental, real estate, construction, and maintenance stakeholders.

• Supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and drafters.
• Communicate clear expectations, goals, and vision.
• Manage performance and delegate project work.
• Motivate, coach and mentor team members.
• Manage projects, ensure quality of work and on-time delivery.
• Review and approve engineering design submittals.
