Linxon invites applications for a Lead Engineer, Energy and Infrastructure Projects in Raleigh, NC. You will lead engineering across AIS, GIS, BESS, rail and data center projects, ensuring safety, cost efficiency, quality, and reliability from concept to execution.

You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets, influence vendor selections, and drive on-time, compliant deliverables while maintaining strong customer engagements and change control.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering or project management experience.
• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Take ownership of engineering budgets and decisions.
• Consistently uphold contract requirements, quality, and safety.
• Bring strong technical judgment and a collaborative mindset.
• Help teams deliver reliable results supporting a sustainable energy future.

Responsibilities

• Own all engineering execution—both in-house and outsourced from proposal through energization.
• Command the engineering budget and drive cost-efficient decisions.
• Enforce schedule discipline and deliver complete, high-quality packages on time and within cost.
• Set the project’s technical vision and maintain a controlled deliverables plan.
• Inject innovative, cost-smart engineering solutions to enhance performance.
• Elevate vendor selection and subcontract strategy through rigorous evaluation.
• Guarantee safety-compliant, standards-aligned designs and minimize rework.
• Audit all design packages for accuracy, constructability, and cost impact.
• Validate vendor compliance, including witnessing factory acceptance tests.
• Partner with the Project Manager to strengthen scope control and change management.
• Champion quality and document control for audit-ready records.
• Lead customer technical engagements and secure approvals.
• Unblock construction by responding to site technical questions and closing NCRs quickly.
