Job summary

University of the Pacific’s Department of Endodontics seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily clinic operations, staffing, and financial performance for Endodontics and New Patient Intake.

You will coordinate with the Clinic director, Chair, and faculty to optimize patient access, scheduling, and billing while ensuring compliant, patient-centered care. This full-time on-site role requires strong leadership and a commitment to excellence in education and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; five years of office/clinic management experience.
• Knowledge of accounting and billing procedures; proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Access.
• Ability to communicate professionally with students, staff, faculty, and patients.
• Ability to analyze operational and financial data and recommend improvements.
• Ability to lead, train, and supervise staff; exercise autonomous judgment with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and staffing for Endodontics and new patient intake.
• Coordinate with Clinic director, Chair, and faculty to optimize scheduling and service delivery.
• Review production, utilization, and billing metrics; ensure accurate insurance billing.
• Maintain patient records, recall systems, and supply inventory; manage vendor contracts.
• Develop schedules for faculty, residents, and students; lead regular staff meetings.
