Qualifications

Supported by a 24/7 in-house call center, FSCA provides maintenance scheduled and unscheduled services to fleets anywhere, anytime.

FSCA is currently hiring an EMS Lead Technician responsible for performing certified DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance inspections, light and advanced repairs, advanced mechanical/hydraulic/electrical and electronic diagnostics, and other duties as assigned. The Lead EMS Technician may also perform scheduled work on various customer fleets and provide emergency roadside service. The role requires mastery in technical disciplines, advanced diagnostics, and triage of complex repairs. The EMS Lead Technician provides guidance and mentorship to EMS Technicians I/II/Sr, and trains other Technicians in the field. Flexibility in scheduling and effectiveness in emergency situations are essential. The role follows established procedures for repairs, safety practices, and documentation.

Duties
  1. Perform minor adjustments and repairs on various truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, starters, alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, power steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, etc.
  2. Participate in safety training and stay updated on safety protocols to promote safety and compliance.
  3. Document work performed, parts used, and findings on Repair Orders using company devices and the PRONTO application.
  4. Communicate with management, team members, and dispatch via Microsoft Office, email, or phone for approvals and notes.
  5. Ensure all work complies with safety, health, environmental policies, and federal regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
  6. Obtain parts from approved vendors as needed.
  7. Complete DOT forms and other documentation accurately and promptly.
  8. Manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck.
  9. Understand and evaluate technical information related to the job.
  10. Prioritize and manage concurrent tasks effectively.
  11. Work independently, managing daily schedules.
  12. Assess customer needs, provide assistance, resolve problems, and meet expectations.
  13. Adhere to company policies, processes, and procedures.
  14. Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck equipment components.
  15. Consult with customers, dispatch, and sales teams regarding vehicle problems and work scope.
  16. Inspect, test, and diagnose malfunctions using test instruments.
  17. Identify issues, evaluate information, and recommend solutions.
  18. Ensure technicians adhere to policies and procedures.
  19. Train and advise EMS Technicians on technical issues.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED and 7 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess necessary hand tools.
  • Obtain ASE certifications T8 (PMI), C1 (Service Consultant), and 608/609 within 18 months.
  • Pass DOT-regulated background screening and physical.
  • Valid DOT medical card or equivalent documentation.
  • Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate commerce regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean 3-year MVR review.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate: $38.17 - $57.21, based on experience and location. Potential for additional incentives or commissions.
Paid time off: Minimum of 6.67 hours/month plus holidays, with additional leave options.
