Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Philadelphia seeks a Lead Emergency Veterinarian to own hospital clinical excellence, coach doctors, and drive VEG’s patient-centered care alongside the medical director. You’ll champion VEG’s processes and mentor peers to thrive in a fast-paced ER setting.

You will foster a culture of mentorship, lead by example, and help shape doctors' career paths while delivering high-quality care to pets and support to families.

Qualifications

• DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree required.
• 2+ years of ER experience and critical case management.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical shifts and ensure diagnostic and therapeutic plans for emergency cases.
• Coach and develop fellow doctors to uphold VEG's medical standards.
• Coordinate with Medical Director on coverage and hospital operations.
• Lead monthly doctor meetings and training initiatives.
