Job summary

OK International in Cypress, CA seeks a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to bridge hardware and software, mentor a software team, and architect our next-gen product ecosystem. You will lead embedded development across microcontrollers, sensors, and interfaces, driving software quality and system integration.

The role requires 7 years in embedded development, with 2+ years leading teams, and strong C/C++ with RTOS experience. Onsite work in Cypress, CA, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 7 years of embedded software and systems development.
• 2 years of leading projects and/or technical teams.
• Experience with Agile software development and Scrum mastery preferred.
• Strong analytic background with MCU, digital control, and UI understanding.
• Knowledge of motion, fluid dynamics, and/or thermal dynamics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering and mentor the team to meet project needs.
• Develop and maintain embedded software development and release processes.
• Bridge software and product management to define the software ecosystem.
• Perform software reviews, analyses of requirements and risk.
• Mentor engineers on coding, testing, and documentation.
• Define system and sub-system software specifications and proofs.
