Job summary

OK International is seeking a Lead Embedded Software Engineer onsite in Cypress, CA to bridge hardware and software and mentor the software team. You will architect system-level solutions for precision soldering and dispensing equipment, partnering with the Director of Engineering to scale development practices.

The role demands hands-on coding, architectural leadership, and a track record of delivering complex embedded systems in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

7 years of active embedded software and systems development experience.
2 years of leading projects and/or technical teams.
Experience with Agile software development process; Scrum master preferred.
Strong analytical background with knowledge of microcontrollers and digital control/feedback.
Experience with motion, fluid dynamics, or thermal dynamics is a plus.
Proven leadership of functional teams with direct reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead software engineering and mentor a team to meet project goals.
Develop and maintain software processes for embedded systems development, testing, release, and deployment.
Bridge software ecosystem definition between hardware, product management, and engineering teams.
Conduct software reviews and participate in requirements analyses and risk analyses.
Guide coding practices, testing, maintenance, and documentation standards.
