RTX in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Principal Embedded Platform Software Engineer to shape the design, development, and integration of foundational software for secure, high‑performance avionics platforms. You will lead technical strategy and collaborate across hardware, safety and software teams.
The role requires deep embedded experience, RTOS and BSP familiarity, and the ability to guide multi‑disciplinary teams toward robust, repeatable platform behavior in an Agile environment.
Competenze
- Bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering required or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience with two or more of embedded C/C++, scripting, secure boot, or architecture design.
- Experience with embedded software for SoCs/ASICs and board bring-up.
Mansioni
- Lead program-level strategy for embedded platform software and secure boot flows.
- Design software for complex multiprocessor systems and provide innovative solutions.
- Guide system architecture and review software designs for quality and goals.
- Define and improve development processes, workflows, and documentation.
