RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an early-career Software Engineer to contribute to real-time embedded flight control software for next-generation aerospace platforms. You will work on requirements, hand-code algorithms, and integrate MATLAB/Simulink generated code, with awareness of DO-178B/C certification activities.

Ideal candidates have a STEM degree and experience in C/C++, OO design, and embedded systems, plus collaborative, agile teamwork in a high-safety environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience developing in modern programming languages (e.g. C++; C).
• Experience with object oriented design.

Responsibilities

• Define and review software requirements, including interfaces.
• Implement control and signal processing algorithms via hand-code and auto-generated code from MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
• Conduct requirements-based testing of software; support DO-178B/C certification activities.
