Job summary

Brilla Schools in the Bronx seeks an Elementary School Instructional Coach for STEM to lead content planning and ensure alignment with Brilla's curricular vision. You will work with teachers and administrators to raise student achievement across STEM subjects.

You'll develop content knowledge and pedagogical techniques, model high-quality instruction, and support ongoing professional development while upholding Brilla's classical approach and mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution, preferably in a STEM-related field.
• Current elementary school teaching certification and demonstrated teaching excellence.
• Experience in special education (preferred) and familiarity with Classical liberal arts education.
• Strong, diverse content knowledge across grade levels or subjects.
• Dedication to character development in both children and adults.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
• Analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily classroom observations, live coaching and provide feedback to urgently develop teachers instructional practice
• Organize and lead campus and cross-network teacher development meetings, developing their content knowledge, data analysis and action planning and pedagogical skills
• Collaborate with Assistant Principal and Instructional Leadership Team to analyze assessment data and create targeted interventions for student academic goals
• Support teachers in achieving school-wide goals aligned with curriculum, pedagogy, and professional evaluation expectations
• Lead curriculum development aligned with New York State Next Generation standards, adapting materials as needed
• Coach teachers in STEM content knowledge and pedagogical practices
• Foster positive relationships with school stakeholders and actively participate in school events
• Engage in ongoing professional development, collaborate with colleagues, and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement in teaching methodologies and school culture
• Perform other duties, as assigned
