Job summary

KIPP Capital Region in Albany, NY is seeking an Instructional Coach (STEM) for Elementary grades K-5 to provide instructional support and coaching to teachers. The IC will help ensure students reach their full potential, analyze data, and drive improvements in instruction and assessment.

The role requires collaboration with principals and teachers, development of standards-based curricula, and expertise in data-driven instructional strategies to address gaps and promote equity across the school

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• 5 years of teaching experience preferred.
• Experience coaching teachers and designing curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Observe classroom instruction and provide actionable feedback to teachers.
• Collaborate with school leaders to develop year-long curricula and units.
• Analyze student data to inform curriculum and assessment changes.
• Support grade-level teams in sharing best practices.
• Design and implement school-wide assessments with the Academic Team.
• Coach teachers to align lessons with college-readiness standards.
