Job summary

Brilla Schools in the Bronx is seeking a Middle School Fine and Applied Arts - Physical Education Teacher. You will cultivate a safe, engaging learning environment for grades 5–8, combining arts mastery with classical content to inspire students’ growth in Goodness, Truth, and Beauty.

A passionate, organized educator will lead a world-class program. The role requires flexible, solutions-oriented teaching, collaboration with staff, and a commitment to Brilla’s mission and standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Spanish language proficiency (preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Holistic development of scholars by fostering a growth-oriented classroom environment.
• Plan lessons that are classically inspired, inquiry-based, rigorous, and aligned with standards.
• Plan and execute a quarterly school-wide showcase of artistic achievements for grades 5–8.
• Engage in weekly collaborative planning and professional development with other Physical Education teachers.
