Job summary

Elevate Charter Schools and Booker T. Washington Academy in New Haven seek an Associate Dean of Instruction (STEM Focus) to lead math, science, and STEM integration for K–4. The role drives a rigorous, inquiry-based curriculum and partners with teachers to elevate instructional excellence.

You will coach teachers, observe classrooms, and use interim assessments and data to guide decisions, ensuring equity and joyful learning in a high-expectations school culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; CT teaching certification or eligibility.
• Minimum 5–7 years of elementary teaching experience with strong growth.
• Deep knowledge of math instruction, science, and STEM integration.
• Differentiation and inclusive instruction for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the STEM curriculum and instructional practices across K–4.
• Direct coaching, classroom observations, and feedback to teachers.
• Use interim assessments and data to inform instructional decisions.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure curricular coherence and school priorities.
