Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years electrical/electronic trades or shipyard test experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electronics Test staff in testing Combat and Weapons Systems cabling and components on submarines.
• Coordinate Department 278 manning needs among project Chief Test Engineers.
• Serve as primary point of contact for testing needs between Chief Test Engineer and Electronics Technicians.
• Interface with engineering, quality, and Navy personnel to support tasks.
• Lead the team in safety, quality, cost, schedule and process improvement.
• Assign work and provide technical guidance, mentoring and performance assessments.
• Supervise attendance, training, qualifications, discipline and administrative actions.
• Verify work complies with policies and procedures.
• Verify that certification test procedures are performed correctly.
• Interface with union leadership to resolve personnel issues.
• Maintain electronic test equipment, calibration schedules, purchasing and maintenance.
