Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing for electronics across North America and internationally as needed.

You will develop category strategies, manage supplier selections, and drive cost reductions while ensuring supply continuity for defense and manufacturing programs. The role requires a strong electronics background, 8+ years of sourcing experience, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 8+ years with a BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master's degree, of experience typically in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong financial acumen especially related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive continuous value improvement for Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and Sustainability within the supply base.
• Lead selection, negotiation, and award of first-time contracts for new suppliers meeting multiple business unit needs.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics suppliers.
• Support the win business process by identifying, vetting, and onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand the existing supply base and commodity categories.
• Perform market research, gather market intelligence, and analyze trends for electronics category.
• Identify risks and opportunities within electronics category via SWOT and risk assessments.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, including international Saab affiliates, for future needs.
• Create an adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand supplier capabilities and processes.
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities and lead initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. Small Business objectives and promote a diverse supplier base.
• Collaborate to develop supplier evaluation and scoring systems for data-driven decisions.
• Develop or modify SOPs and work instructions.
