Job summary

Badger Meter is seeking a production supervisor to lead the assembly teams across multiple product families in a manufacturing setting. You will coordinate daily workloads, ensure adherence to schedules, and maintain quality and safety standards across the shop floor.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in assembly leadership, Lean experience, and the ability to read prints and inspect parts. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Degree/GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in assembly/leadership.
• Lean 101 training preferred.
• Experience in a Lean environment preferred.
• Experience with electronic assembly required.
• Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read prints and measure parts.
• Ability to work extended hours and occasional weekend shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the day-to-day operation by leading and directing a group of employees to assure a smooth workflow.
• Organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads and staff to meet production schedule.
• Reads and follows specifications and other instructions in order to build and assemble products and examining completed work to detect defects and verify conformance to work orders, correct any problems.
• Provide a thorough technical understanding of production and assembly practices.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
• Acts as liaison, representing the team in general; point of contact for general assembly and quality control questions.
• Trains new employees and instructs employees on the proper use of equipment and tools.
• Display strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with Managers, Planning and Customer Service.
• Provide input to improve assembly processes with a focus on safety, quality, on-time delivery and cost.
