Job summary

Badger Meter in Milwaukee seeks an assembler to join a manufacturing team that creates and tests meters and meter-reading technology. The role covers assembly, molding, registration assembly, and machining, with rotation across workstations and emphasis on safe work habits and quality production.

Educating and training are valued; the position requires ability to lift up to 60 pounds, use PPE, and follow precise instructions to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Degree/GED preferred
• 0–1 years of related experience preferred
• Ability to pass internal forklift and hazmat training required
• Basic proficiency with computers required
• Basic math skills required
• Basic ability to read, write, and speak English preferred

Responsibilities

• Assemble meters and perform testing per safety guidelines.
• Set up and operate meter testing equipment to verify product quality.
• Operate plastic injection molding machines and perform secondary operations (degating, sprue removal, drilling).
• Perform register assembly and test operations on electro/mechanical units.
• Check parts visually and with inspection tools to ensure quality.
• Load, unload, and deburr parts; maintain a clean, safe work area.
