Job summary

ASML in Wilton, CT is seeking a Design Engineer: Optical Sensor System - Integrated Optics to help develop advanced optical technologies used in ASML lithography systems. You will design, simulate, test, and validate integrated optical sensor solutions within lab and system environments.

The role requires a Master’s degree with 4+ years or a PhD, experience with MATLAB, Lumerical, LabVIEW and photonic integrated circuits, and strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree(s) in a relevant field with strong optics background.
• Demonstrated ability to translate requirements into optical sensor solutions.
• Experience with photonic integrated circuits or integrated optics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate integrated optical and photonic sensor solutions.
• Perform optical simulations and analyze system performance data.
• Develop and maintain test software using MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar tools.
• Plan, execute, and document laboratory and system-level experiments.
• Investigate technical issues and identify root causes of performance challenges.
