Job summary
Amcor is seeking a skilled maintenance technician in Monroe, LA to assist the Technical Manager and lead maintenance on production equipment.
The role focuses on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, PLC programming (AB and Siemens), servo drives, and upgrades to improve safety and reliability.
You will train and direct junior staff, coordinate with contractors, and support 24/7 production, with emphasis on safety and quality.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or certificate in Electrical/Electronics preferred.
- Eight years minimum experience in industrial maintenance with electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with blown film manufacturing is a plus.
- Must read/interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Safety-conscious with strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist Technical Manager in daily maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and process systems.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs including AB and Siemens.
- Set up and tune servo drives; work with Rexroth/Bosch systems.
- Lead installation and upgrades of production equipment.
- Provide 24/7 technical support for production.
- Maintain safe work practices and housekeeping.
