Broward College is seeking a skilled trades technician to perform advanced journey level work across electrical and building systems. The role requires installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and related equipment.
Applicants should have five years in electrical journeyman, a Florida driver's license, and relevant licenses. Desirable certifications include journeyman/master licenses, forklift, man lift, CDL Class D, and tech school credentials.
Under general supervision, the purpose of the job is to perform advanced skilled journey level work combining activities in various mechanical and building trade areas: installation, operation, maintenance, equipment and fixtures, service and repair of electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning, heating ventilating, and plumbing systems. Employees in this classification apply considerable skills to perform trade tasks in a minimum of two (2) of the standard trade disciplines, e.g., HVAC, electrical, pump-mechanical, plumbing. Performs related work as directed.
