Broward College is seeking a Journeyman HVAC technician to install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, five+ years of related experience, and appropriate HVAC certifications, including a Mechanical Journeyman and EPA Freon certificate.
A Florida driver’s license is required, with 30 days to obtain it after starting. The role operates 10 pm–6:30 am, Sunday through Thursday, on-site.
Under limited supervision, the incumbent will demonstrate the ability to safely perform Journeyman level tasks in the installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning equipment and systems.
This position allows eligible veterans and their spouses to claim Veterans’ Preference pursuant to Florida Statute 295. Salary range: $47,530 - $54,659.70 (Salary commensurate with education and experience). Please note the working hours for this position are 10 pm - 6:30 am, Sunday - Thursday.
