Job summary

Archer, an aerospace company in San Jose, CA, seeks an Electrical Integration Engineer to lead integration and testing of powertrain electrical systems, focusing on power electronics, battery management systems, dynamometers, and actuators.

You will drive test-system architecture, own end-to-end electrical and mechanical design of test enclosures and HV harnesses, and collaborate across power electronics, software, and thermal teams to ensure certification readiness.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace) or Physics; hands-on problem solving valued
• Experience integrating and debugging safety-critical electrical systems; HV powertrains preferred
• Demonstrated impact and problem-solving over credentials alone
• Ability to interpret Interface Control Documents and schematics to resolve issues
• Willingness to own hardware from design to build and validation
• Experience with software automation and test scripting is a plus

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and design of powertrain test systems and HV bus integration.
• Own end-to-end electrical and mechanical design of test enclosures and HV harnesses for flight-representative validation.
• Interpret complex Interface Control Documents and schematics to resolve integration challenges with SMEs support.
• Lead evaluation and testing of powertrain components and manage supply chain for hardware availability.
• Integrate and commission high-voltage testbeds with battery emulators and dynamometers; develop test automation.
• Collaborate with power electronics, software, and thermal teams to meet aviation safety and certification standards.
