Archer is seeking a Sr. Product Quality Engineer – Powertrain to join our Quality Engineering team in San Jose, CA.

You will drive manufacturing and process quality for battery, electric motor, and powertrain assembly lines, partnering with design, manufacturing, and supplier teams to ensure top-tier performance. The role demands 5+ years in high-volume battery/EV manufacturing, expertise in GD&T and metrology, and experience with APQP tools, RCCA, and digital platforms like PLM, MES, and ERP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Materials, or Automotive Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on quality or manufacturing engineering in battery/EV/powertrain environments.
• Strong working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and 2D drawings.

Responsabilités

• Manufacturing line quality support for battery pack and powertrain lines; resolve non-conformances and MRB dispositions.
• Lead APQP activities: PFMEAs, Control Plans, SPC protocols for powertrain manufacturing.
• Apply GD&T and metrology to review drawings and perform dimensional inspections.
