Job summary

Archer is an aerospace company in San Jose, California seeking a Senior Electrical Integration Engineer to lead the integration and testing of powertrain electrical systems for a four-passenger all-electric VTOL project.

You will own end-to-end electrical and mechanical test system design, work with power electronics, software, and thermal teams, and ensure compliance with aviation safety standards through rigorous testing and data validation.

Qualifications

• Experience with high voltage powertrains and electrical test equipment.
• Strong understanding of HV safety and aviation standards.
• Hands-on debugging and integration across electrical and mechanical domains.
• Experience with Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB for test automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate powertrain test systems across HV bus components.
• Own end-to-end electrical and mechanical test enclosures and harnesses.
• Interpret Interface Control Documents and resolve integration issues.
• Lead evaluation and testing of powertrain components and logistics.
• Configure Iron Bird-like testbeds with battery emulators and dynamometers.
• Collaborate with power electronics, software, and thermal teams for certification readiness.
