Job summary

Amteck is seeking an Electrical Foreman for a new construction project in Atlanta, GA. You will oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians, leading installation, alterations and repairs while guiding and mentoring the team.

You will ensure work meets NEC and local standards, develop manpower schedules, read blueprints and project documents, and manage material lists. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities with capability to grow to lead, mentor and coach teams of ~5.
• Basic skills in communicating with other trades and negotiating work assignments with trade supervisors.
• Shows ability to read and understand blueprints and available contract-related documents from other trades on site.
• Basic understanding of customer relationships and customer satisfaction.
• Developing, reading and following construction schedules for assigned scope.
• Ability to learn BlueBeam, Navisworks and related programs to understand project plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards
• Assist in developing an effective manpower schedule for the team
• Develop material lists from layouts, area prints, and job site demands and communicate lists to supervision
• Help achieve production and budget goals by understanding what needs to be done and communicating it to the team
• Ensure all crew work complies with local codes and NEC guidelines
• Independently measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels and feeders
• Demonstrate working knowledge of circuitry
• Read project specs, blueprints, and schematics
• Lay out small areas from electrical drawings and project documents
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and power circuits
