Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Foreman for a construction project in Atlanta, GA. This role oversees a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians, performing installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems while leading, training and evaluating the team.

The Foreman will ensure work quality, develop manpower schedules, prepare material lists, and coordinate with supervision to meet production and budget goals while adhering to NEC and local guidelines.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach teams of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Read and understand project blueprints and schematics.
• Able to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Demonstrates basic skills in coordinating with other trades and project supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure work quality meets highest standards.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Create material lists from layouts and job site demands.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by clear communication.
• Ensure work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Install and terminate electrical devices and conductors.
• Read project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out work from electrical drawings, including underground areas.
• Determine wire, conduit and junction box sizing.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
