Job summary

CEC Companies, located at the CEC Corporate Headquarters in Irving, TX, seeks an Electrical Estimator to manage the estimating take-off process for commercial and industrial projects. You will work with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors to produce comprehensive estimates.

The role requires 3+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator, preferably within CECs Core Market projects, and proficiency with Accubid, LiveCount, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree a plus or equivalent required related experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator, preferably within CECs Core Market projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and take-offs for the electrical department.
• Itemize subcontractor scopes and prepare bid packages.
• Complete accurate take-offs with Accubid and LiveCount.
• Prepare bids from 100% Design Development, Permit Drawings and/or Issued for Construction Drawings.
• Overlay drawings for changes in scope in Bluebeam or LiveCount.
• Analyze bids and propose value engineer cost saving ideas.
• Provide leadership, direction, train and mentor Junior Estimators and work with team members.
