Job summary

CEC Companies in Oklahoma is seeking an Electrical Estimator to manage take-offs and generate comprehensive bids for commercial and industrial projects. The role involves coordinating with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors while leading a small team of junior estimators.

You will use Accubid, LiveCount, Bluebeam, and Excel to prepare accurate estimates, review BOMs, ensure code compliance, and present final packages to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years as a Commercial Construction Estimator.
• Proficient with building codes and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and take-offs for the electrical department.
• Itemize subcontractor scopes and prepare bid packages.
• Complete accurate take-offs with Accubid and LiveCount.
• Prepare bids from various drawing stages (DD, Permit, Issued for Construction).
• Overlay drawings for scope changes in Bluebeam or LiveCount.
• Analyze bids and propose value engineering cost saving ideas.
• Lead and mentor junior estimators and coordinate with the team.
• Review BOMs and subcontractor scope letters for accuracy.
• Present estimating packages to executives and manage timelines.
