Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Lead Electrical Engineer to create/review models and BOMs for power distribution equipment including Metal-Clad and Metal-Eclosed Switchgear and Panelboards.

The role requires 10+ years in MV switchgear design, a BS in Electrical Engineering, strong wiring knowledge, and proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Opportunity to mentor others and lead multi-project efforts.

Qualifications

10+ years in medium voltage switchgear design or equivalent.
BS in Electrical Engineering degree required.
Knowledge of control circuits, transfer schemes, differential schemes, PT/CPT load calculations.
Experience turning quotations and drawings into complete packages.
Strong understanding of switchgear mechanical design and internal wiring.
Familiar with ANSI, NEC and UL standards.
Leadership and mentoring of engineers preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of electrical packages for switchgear projects (one-lines, schematics, BOMs).
Conduct technical reviews and release BOMs for purchasing and fabrication.
Implement new designs into production engineering systems.
Support product development for modeling and DFMs.
Mentor and supervise engineering team; interact with mechanical, project management, and customers.
Provide technical support to purchasing and strategic sourcing.
