Job summary

Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented experienced Mechanical Engineer. The Mechanical Engineer will create/review models and BOM’s for power distribution equipment including Metal-Clad Switchgear, Metal-Eclosed Switchgear and Panelboards.

Requirements include BS in Mechanical Engineering, 1-3 years in sheet metal design, and proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Candidates should be able to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in sheet metal design, preferably medium voltage / UL891 switchgear.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles and standards (ANSI/ASME/NEC/UL).
• Experience creating 3D renderings and elevations from drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical diagrams and requirements from electrical engineering.
• Convert electrical drawings into a mechanical package with elevations and BOMs.
• Provide mechanical components for drawings to electrical engineering.
• Release BOM for purchasing and fabrication.
• Incorporate new designs/changes into production engineering systems.
• Support manufacturing with project questions and issues.
