Job summary

States Manufacturing is seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer to design structures and bussing for LV/MV switchgear and distribution equipment. You will ensure safe, efficient operation of products while meeting quality and delivery standards.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience with 3D CAD tools and engineering standards, and can lead project teams while collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing mechanical structures and bussing for LV/MV switchgear with project management and code compliance.
• Review customer specifications and sales agreements to create designs.

Responsibilities

• Design structures and bussing for switchgear, panel boards and power distribution equipment.
• Review and interpret customer specifications and sales agreements to create designs.
• Experience using 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD, PDM and SolidWorks.
• Improve the design process using standardized practices to boost quality and productivity.
• Evaluate and select mechanical components for bussing systems, switchgear, panelboards and control panels.
• 0-10% travel.
