Job summary

Kimley-Horn in White Plains, NY is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Renewable Energy team. This on-site role requires leading the design of renewable generation, energy storage, EV charging infrastructure, and related electrical systems.

You will develop design documents, perform system calculations, and mentor junior staff while supporting growth of our Renewable Energy practice across the country.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Electrical Engineering experience, preferably in renewables.
• Professional Engineering license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI standards; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for renewable generation, storage, EV charging, and building systems.
• Prepare design documents, layouts, schematics, calculations, and one-line diagrams.
• Mentor junior staff and grow the Renewable Energy practice.
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and proposals for local and national projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across Kimley-Horn offices.
