Kimley-Horn's Overland Park, KS office seeks an Electrical Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the Power Delivery team. The role focuses on design and analysis for renewable generation, energy storage, and utility-scale substations, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and contribute to reports and specifications.

The position is on-site in Overland Park; travel to client sites may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and analysis of complex electrical systems for renewable generation, energy storage, and utility-scale substation projects.
• Develop design documents and reports, including electrical layouts, equipment schematics and block diagrams, electrical system calculations, and one-line diagrams.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across Kimley-Horn offices.
• Prepare project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and proposals to grow electrical engineering services.
• Mentor, train, and grow the Power Delivery team.
• Develop reports and design documents, including electrical design plans, equipment selection, solar sizing, and power analyses.
