Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Sacramento office is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 7+ years to join their Renewable Energy team. This is not a remote position. You will lead design of electrical systems for renewable generation, energy storage, EV charging infrastructure, and building electrical projects.

You will develop design documents, collaborate across offices, and mentor junior staff as the practice grows. A PE license or eligibility is required; some travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of electrical systems for renewable energy, energy storage, EV charging, and buildings.
• 1
• Prepare design documents, layouts, schematics, electrical system calculations, and one-line diagrams.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across Kimley-Horn offices.
• Develop project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and proposals to grow electrical engineering services.
• Mentor and grow the Renewable Energy team.
• Develop reports and design documents for EV charging, solar sizing, and power analyses.
