Job summary

ENFRA seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical design solutions as the Engineer of Record (EOR) for large commercial projects. You will provide technical authority, mentor engineers, and ensure NEC compliance across designs and standards.

This role leads cross-disciplinary teams, coordinates with clients and AHJs, and guides project budgets, schedules and quality. Travel 10-20% is expected while delivering safe, compliant, and innovative electrical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
• Ten years' experience post PE license.
• Experience with design of large commercial projects.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Ability to lead a team for complex electrical design projects.
• Experience with Healthcare, Higher Education, CEP electrical infrastructure, MV protection and distribution, and paralleled generator systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct electrical engineering of projects per NEC and company standards.
• Assist Project Manager in budgets, execution plans, cost estimates and schedules.
• Execute electrical engineering within budget, schedule and quality.
• Prepare engineering documents (reports, drawings, specifications) for stamping.
• Prepare addenda, PRs and SIs for projects.
• Mentor and provide technical direction to Electrical Engineers, Designers, and BIM/CAD Technicians.
• Attend client meetings and prepare meeting notes.
• Coordinate communications with project team, clients, and AHJ.
• Coordinate design with other disciplines in the project team.
• Assist in quality assurance reviews for all project disciplines.
• Attend site visits for investigation and record existing conditions.
• Develop and approve electrical design standards, tools, processes and procedures.
• Provide focal point and technical leadership for electrical engineers and designers.
• Provide mentoring and career development support.
• Uphold ENFRA brand and ensure excellent client experience.
• Any other duties as assigned by Company Leadership.
