Job summary

Henderson Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer for Mission Critical/Data Center projects based in the Dallas area.

You will lead complex electrical design from concept through completion, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring code compliance and quality. This role requires a BS in electrical engineering, 12+ years of relevant experience, PE license preferred, and proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred; required for EORs.
• Certifications such as RCDD, NICET, CPD, LEED, WELL are highly preferred.
• Advanced to expert proficiency in electrical engineering design, Revit, Bluebeam, and construction processes.
• MEP/Construction industry experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead discipline coordination and manage complex project scopes.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design from concept through completion for complex or large-scale projects.
• Direct or oversee the preparation of design documents, system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Develop solutions to advanced and highly complex engineering problems, providing discipline-wide technical guidance.
• Serve as a mentor and coach across teams and practices, including supervising less experienced designers and engineers.
• Participate in or lead staffing recommendations, training initiatives, and technical strategy development.
• Provide quality oversight, including conducting and/or issuing final quality reviews to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
• Communicate with clients, resolve conflicts, and provide leadership in responding to technical questions or design challenges.
• Lead or support strategic business development efforts and maintain key client and partner relationships.
• Serve as Engineer of Record when assigned, ensuring technical accuracy, accountability, and adherence to professional standards.
