Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to guide complex building-system design for mission-critical projects. You will lead design from concept through completion, coordinate with project teams, and ensure quality and compliance across the discipline.

The role emphasizes mentorship, client communication, and contributing to business development, with opportunities to serve as Engineer of Record when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering in a relevant field.
• 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred; required for EORs.
• Advanced to expert proficiency in electrical design and codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from concept through completion for large projects.
• Direct creation of design documents, schematics, and specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and discipline-wide problem solving.
• Mentor and coach designers and engineers across teams.
• Support staffing, training, and technical strategy initiatives.
• Oversee quality reviews to ensure standards compliance.
• Communicate with clients and manage project-related challenges.
• Lead or support business development and client relationships.
• Serve as Engineer of Record when assigned.
