Job summary

Stantec in the United States is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and engineering for mining and heavy industrial projects. You will guide multidisciplinary teams from planning through post‑construction, applying NEC and energy codes while delivering safe, reliable power systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
Professional Engineering license is required.
Eligibility for a Professional Engineering license in the State of Arizona and/or Southwestern US states.
15 years of engineering, design, and construction experience in heavy industry or mining is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the electrical design and engineering portions of projects from planning through post‑construction.
Prepare and coordinate electrical construction drawings (SLDs, power/lighting plans, grounding, wiring, SMCs, etc.).
Develop electrical technical specifications, equipment datasheets, and testing/commissioning plans.
Coordinate with construction documents and other disciplines; manage scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Professional Engineering license

Eligibility for PE in AZ / SW US
