Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Mukilteo, WA. You will lead electrical design across programs, ensure robust hardware against EMI/ESD, and drive prototyping, testing, and qualification efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Significant experience in aerospace, defense, and/or avionics.
• Knowledge of IPC and military specifications.
• Proven hardware design experience with qualification testing.
• Experience with circuit simulations (PSPICE/LTSPICE).
• Schematic capture, PCB layout and routing using Altium Designer.
• Experience with automated test equipment development.
• Experience with serial protocols (RS-422/RS-485/MIL-STD-1553).
• Proficiency in C/C++/C#, Python, MATLAB; Verilog/VHDL a plus.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design, development, test, analysis, and manufacturing across multiple programs.
• Design robust hardware considering ESD/EMI and challenging environments.
• Create and review full drawing packages for manufacturing, cost, and QA.
• Lead prototyping, hardware assembly, testing, and product qualification.
• Perform calculations and generate circuit analysis reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist with hiring activities.
• Support proposals, quick-turn concept design, and presentations.
