Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA in Austin, TX is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to lead development of complex electronics assemblies from concept through production, designing high-performance digital and mixed-signal hardware for RF and telemetry applications.

You will work with FPGA, microprocessor, and memory technologies, create detailed schematics and PCB layouts, perform SI/PI analyses, support manufacturing transitions, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of experience designing, analyzing, and testing board-level electronics.
• Experience in high-reliability hardware for aerospace, defense, space, or other mission-critical applications.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer for PCB design and schematic capture.
• Strong collaboration across software, mechanical, and systems teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of complex electronics assemblies from concept through production.
• Design high-performance digital and mixed-signal hardware for RF systems and telemetry applications.
• Develop circuits using FPGAs, microprocessors, memory devices, and other programmable technologies.
• Create detailed schematics, component selections, and supporting documentation for advanced electronic designs.
• Design multilayer PCBs with high-speed digital, RF, power distribution, and mixed-signal architectures.
• Perform signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal performance analyses.
• Develop hardware bring-up strategies, integration procedures, and design verification plans.
• Execute board-level validation, troubleshooting, and performance testing for compliance.
