Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an EE Staff Hardware Engineer to design boards for upcoming product platforms, including in-vehicle and off-vehicle components. You’ll lead schematic and layout, bring-up, testing, and collaboration with JDM/OEM partners on electrical architectures.

The role emphasizes DC/DC converters, high-speed signaling, data buses, and analog circuitry, with a track record of shipping hardware and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience with board design.
• Experience working with Altium eCAD tools.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and OEMs.
• Knowledge of DC/DC converters, transmission lines, common data buses, analog circuits, board design and layout best practices.
• Experience in technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Design – schematic and layout of key electrical boards and guidance to JDM/OEMs.
• Bring Up and validation – bring up designs, test for reliability and validity, implement changes.
• Rapid Prototyping – create quick designs using off-the-shelf parts, assess tradeoffs and risks.
• System Integration – work with other teams to integrate electrical designs into vehicles.
• Influence design decisions – help define electrical architecture and execution.
