Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to lead development of complex electronics hardware from concept to production. The role emphasizes high-density multilayer PCBs, RF and telemetry systems, and rigorous verification of signal and power integrity.

You will design with FPGAs, microprocessors, and various memory devices while creating detailed schematics and supporting documentation. Develop hardware bring-up strategies, integration procedures, and design verification plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years designing, analyzing, and testing board-level electronics.
• Experience in aerospace/defense or mission-critical hardware.
• Experience designing complex multilayer boards with high-density/high-speed architectures.
• Familiarity with signal integrity and power integrity analyses and test methods.
• Proficient with PCB design and schematic tools like Altium Designer.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of complex electronics assemblies from concept to production deployment.
• Design high-performance digital and mixed-signal hardware supporting RF, telemetry, and communications.
• Develop circuits using FPGAs, microprocessors, microcontrollers, memory devices.
• Create detailed schematics, component selections, and documentation for advanced designs.
• Design and optimize multilayer PCBs including high-speed and RF architectures.
• Perform analyses such as signal integrity and thermal performance.
• Develop hardware bring-up strategies, integration procedures, and test plans.
• Execute board-level validation, troubleshooting, and performance testing for requirements.
• Support manufacturing transition activities and production readiness reviews.
• Investigate and resolve issues during development, integration, and production.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and systems teams to ensure success.
• Provide technical mentorship and uphold engineering standards.
