Job summary

WHOOP is hiring an Electrical Engineering Lead to guide the charging platform for our wearable tech. You will own system architecture, lead a small engineers team, and stay hands-on in design and problem solving across hardware, firmware, and product teams.

Based in Boston, MA, you can travel up to 15% and relocation is possible. The role offers base salary, equity, and benefits with a strong compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience with ownership of hardware products.
• Strong fundamentals in circuit design, power, mixed-signal electronics, digital interfaces, and debugging.
• Ability to define system architecture and tradeoffs across teams.
• Hands-on with schematic capture, PCB design, prototype bring-up, and lab testing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration; knowledge of AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead system architecture and technical direction from concept through production.
• Manage and develop a small team of electrical engineers with mentorship.
• Hands-on in architecture, circuit design, prototype bring-up, characterization, debugging.
• Define product architecture with cross-functional teams and translate requirements.
• Make electrical design decisions across power, charging, protection, connectivity, sensing, PCB design.
• Drive tradeoffs across performance, thermal, reliability, cost, manufacturability, and schedule.
• Partner with Manufacturing and suppliers to scale designs to high-volume production.
• Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
