Job summary
Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Mobile, AL seeks an experienced Lead Electrical/Instrumentation Designer to deliver complete electrical and instrumentation designs on time and within budget. You will supervise a team of designers, provide technical guidance, and coordinate with other disciplines and clients.
The role requires 15+ years in electrical and instrumentation drafting, NEC knowledge, proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation, and strong leadership to mentor staff and manage scope,
Qualifications
- 15+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design.
- Knowledge of NEC and electrical installation standards.
- Experience leading a design team and coordinating with other disciplines.
- Ability to deliver on scope, schedule and budget with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- supervise a team of designers and provide technical direction
- deliver electrical and instrumentation deliverables on time and within budget
- produce installation details, MCC single lines, room layouts and wiring diagrams
- coordinate with clients and other disciplines to ensure scope and design criteria are met
- mentor subordinates and lead scheduling, cost estimates and progress reporting
