Job summary
Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks an experienced Electrical Designer to lead a team delivering electrical and instrumentation deliverables for complex projects in Mobile, AL. You will oversee total design delivery, coordinate with disciplines, and provide on-site startup support when required.
The ideal candidate has 15+ years in electrical/instrumentation drafting, strong NEC knowledge, proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation, and proven leadership in delivering cost-effective, compliant
Qualifications
- Familiar with NEC and design standards.
- Ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection for lighting and power.
- Ability to perform voltage drop calculations and route conduit/cable tray.
- Ability to develop equipment specifications for 480VAC and 15kV/5kV systems.
- Lead a small team to deliver on commitments and coordinate with other disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of designers to deliver electrical and instrumentation deliverables.
- Produce installation details, single lines, room layouts, and diagrams.
- Provide technical guidance to junior drafters and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Interact with clients to determine scope and design criteria.
- Support startup activities and prepare cost estimates for projects.
- Ensure compliance with codes and design standards.
